"Not compatible with this device" warning in the App Store

Crystal is compatible with any Apple TV device running tvOS 17 or later, which includes all models released since September 2015. If you have an Apple TV running tvOS 17 or later but still get the "Not compatible with this device" message, open the App Store app directly on your Apple TV and search for Crystal there.

Can I use Crystal with Pixelfed or any other fediverse servers other than Mastodon?

For now, servers that are compatible with the Mastodon API (such as Pixelfed, GoToSocial, etc) may work, but this is not guaranteed.

Improved support for more server types in Crystal is planned. Follow @[email protected] to find out about opportunities to join the TestFlight beta to try out Crystal with non-Mastodon servers for free.

Will there be an iOS, iPadOS, and/or Mac version?

At the moment, Crystal is exclusive to Apple TV and available only from the App Store on Apple TV. Stay tuned!
